Safe Zone LGBTQ training

The Office of Human Resources and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion invite you to Safe Zone training from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in 265 RSC. This training is a dynamic, interactive session that includes activities and discussion around inclusive language, the process of coming out, the power of the straight ally, understanding sexual identity, how to respond to homophobic/transphobic incidents, where to go for help and much more.

The goal of Safe Zone training is to provide a welcoming environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and ally (LGBTQA) persons.

Safe Zone establishes an identifiable network of supportive people who can provide support, information and a safe place for LGBTQA persons within the WSU campus community.

By attending this training, individuals are committed to being a Safe Zone Ally in which bigotry and discrimination, specifically regarding LGBTQA persons, are not tolerated.
