* Gamma Phi Beta will hold its annual philanthropy event, Grilled Cheese with the GPhiBs, today (Thursday, April 23) and Friday, April 24, at 3912 E. 21st St. The event will benefit Heartspring. Admittance is only $5 and includes two grilled cheese sandwiches, soup, dessert and drink. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and dinner from 5-9 p.m. both days, with a late night shift from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday only.
* Crafts and food, a role play contest and a dance performance come together to celebrate Japanese culture at the second annual Japan Festival from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, April 24, in 100 Lindquist Hall, in the lobby and in front of the building. * Student Activities Council is hosting its 5th Annual Drag Show at 8 p.m. Friday, April 24, in the CAC Theater. The show is free for WSU students with ID and $5 for general public.
* The Center for Entrepreneurship invites WSU students of all majors to judge in this year's Trade Show round of the Shocker New Venture Competition from 2-3 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Charles Koch Arena. * The WSU Multicultural Greek Council invites you to the 6th annual Midwest Step Show: Shock the Yard at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Orpheum Theatre downtown. Tickets can be purchased in the University Bookstore, the Orpheum box office, online through Select-a-Seat for $10 (http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3737) or they can be purchased at the door the night of the show for $15.
* The baseball team will host New Mexico at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 24; 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25; and 1 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Eck Stadium. The softball team will host Evansville at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, and noon Sunday, April 26, at Wilkins Stadium. Students can pick up free baseball tickets with a WSU ID at Eck Stadium ticket office and free softball tickets with a WSU ID at Wilkins Stadium.
