The Fairmount College advisory committee is hosting an employers symposium with employees from Koch Industries, City of Derby, Communities in Schools and J. Van Sickle & Co. from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in 209 Hubbard Hall. Featured speakers are Ryan Schafer and Joe Robertson, Koch Creative; Kaci Tucker, Flint Hills Resources; Zach Gearart, budget analyst, the city of Derby; Jason Van Sickle, founder and CEO of J. Van Sickle and Co., will speak on his experience in starting his own business; and Karen Blucher and Jane Droegemeir, employees, Communities in Schools.
