New exhibition opening in Holmes Museum of Anthropology

You are invited to the opening of a new exhibition in the Holmes Museum of Anthropology from 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, on the first floor of Neff Hall. The exhibition is "Metal Mash Up: The Harmony of copper, Tin, Brass and Silver." The exhibition was designed and created by students in the Spring Museum Exhibition class. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The origins of metal work or metallurgy can be found in the Middle East and Mesopotamia (modern day Turkey). Metal was used as early as the Neolithic period, when people used blue and green copper for beads and pendants.

If you have questions about this opening or other museum programs, contact the WSU Anthropology Department at 978-3195.
