Students doing their service learning activity for Natalie Grant's class from WSU's School of Social Work are partnering with the Historic Dunbar Theatre and The Donut Whole this Friday, April 24, for the Wichita Community Foundation's ArtDOG (Day of Giving). The purpose is to raise money to renovate the historic theatre that once was the only integrated theatre to serve African Americans in Wichita during segregation. Events at The Donut Whole, 1720 E. Douglas, are free and donations are welcome as we race to raise as many donations as possible during the 24-hour period. Evening events include a silent art auction with art from a local artist and music from local talent like Rudy Love, Jr., emceed by KMUW's Jedd Beaudoin.
