* Volunteers are needed for a day of service with students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends at Wu's Big Event Saturday, May 2. The day will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a light breakfast. Volunteers will then be bused to five service sites to participate in volunteer work. Buses will return to the university at 1 p.m. for pizza and reflection. * For noninternational students who purchased the UHCSR Student Health Insurance for the spring 2015 semester and want to have this coverage during the summer, go to https://www.uhcsr.com/wichita and purchase your summer coverage. The open enrollment dates are May 1-June 1. You do not have to enroll in summer courses, but you must have purchased the insurance for the spring semester. * It's time to plan ahead for a trip to Europe. A European Travel Seminar will be offered in Summer 2016 from May 17-June 2. The cost is $3,500. * TRIO Disability Support Services is launching a mentoring program this fall. We're accepting mentoring applications for the program with trainings to be held over the summer or early fall. Objectives are to help students connect with their peers, help students acquaint themselves with campus resources and encourage students in their pursuit of a baccalaureate degree and of quality employment.
