Reminders
* English professor Bill Woods is retiring this semester after 42 years of service to the English Department and WSU. There will be "A Farewell to Dr. William Woods: M.V. Hughes Professor of English," open to faculty, staff and students from 5-6 p.m. today (Friday, May 8) in 262 RSC.
* The Office of Financial Aid will be closed from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today (Friday, May 8) for staff development. For financial aid questions, students can contact the WSU OneStop staff in 122 Jabara Hall or at 855-WSU-1STP (978-1787).
* Accounts Receivable and cashiers in 201 Jardine Hall will close at noon today (Friday, May 8) for staff development.
* University faculty awards will be presented during the general faculty meeting at 3 p.m. Friday, May 8, in the Beggs Ballroom. The reception will begin at 2:30 p.m. with light refreshments to meet and greet the honorees. The general faculty meeting will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
* Stop by the College of Engineering's 60th annual open house, Friday, May 8, in Wallace Hall, Beggs Hall and the Engineering Building. Student projects will be displayed from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., with open labs from 1-5 p.m. http://www.wichita.edu/EngineeringOpenHouse
* The WSU baseball team will host Evansville at 3 p.m. today (Friday, May 8); 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9; and 1 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at Eck Stadium. Students can pick up free baseball tickets with a WSU ID at Eck Stadium ticket office.
* Learn about the wealth of resources available to researchers at WSU at a workshop at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, in 266 RSC. Representatives from the Center for Community Support and Research, Media Resources Center, WSU Foundation, Information Technology Services and Engineering K-12 Outreach will be available to discuss how they can help you strengthen your applications for research funding.
