* Interested faculty are invited to join the end-of-the-year AAUP-WSU chapter meeting at 3 p.m. today (Friday, May 15) in 262 RSC. An informal social begins at 2:30 p.m. Agenda items include a summary of chapter activity for 2014-15, discussion of priorities for 2015-16 and election of chapter officers. * More than 2,400 students are eligible to participate in the 117th spring commencement ceremonies today (Friday, May 15) and Saturday, May 16, at Wichita State University. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3780 for more information.
* With the last day of spring classes today (Friday, May 15), the shuttle bus service will end for the summer.
* Wichita State University Libraries is teaching LASI 170 Introduction to Library Research again this fall. This one-credit class is offered both eight-week sessions. Students will learn how to write a research paper. Please encourage your students to enroll.
* The Counseling & Testing Center is offering Mental Health First Aid courses to the WSU community to help individuals better identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses. The first session will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, May 22, in 228 Hubbard Hall. Light continental breakfast and afternoon snack will be provided.
