* The USS Senate's Shocker Employee and Dependent Scholarship was established for the advancement of WSU employees and their dependents, to encourage them to start or continue toward a bachelor's degree. Help your WSU colleagues achieve their goals by supporting the fund today. * Educators and industry professionals from the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and math are invited to attend the Kansas STEM Call-to-Action Forum being held Tuesday-Wednesday, June 2-3, at the National Center for Aviation and Training, 4004 N. * The University Police Department will host a four-hour van training class at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at the University Police Department building. The class is a requirement if persons wish to drive a 12-passenger van through the state contract. Interested persons need to contact Ed Catlin at edwin.catlin@wichita.edu to be placed on the list. To register, include your full name, driver's license number and state, along with your myWSU ID number. Refer to WSU Policy 20.12 for eligibility requirements.

* Walter Horn, professor in aerospace engineering, is retiring after 31 years of dedicated service to students, faculty, the College of Engineering and Wichita State. Everyone is invited to join us as we honor him in a farewell reception from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, in Beggs Hall lobby.
