Ulrich Museum offers 10 scholarships for Riverfest Artist In Residence Wayne White mask-making workshops

Wichita Festivals Inc. and Harvester Arts are partnering with the Ulrich Museum of Art and WSU School of Art, Design and Creative Industries to create an artist's residency in collaboration with Riverfest 2015 with Emmy and Billboard award-winning artist Wayne White.

Among other events during the 10-day residency, White will work with local artists to build several large-scale puppets for Riverfest's Safelite AutoGlass Sundown Parade and conduct public mask-making workshops for anyone interested in walking with him in the parade.

The Ulrich Museum is offering 10 student scholarships to the workshops on a first-come basis. Register via the link below to reserve your chance to work directly with a creative rock star. Use promo code "ulrichwaynewhite" to sign up with the scholarship.

Five spots are available from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 24, and five spots are available from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26. The code will no longer work once the spaces are filled, so act now.
