Students recognized at WSU Senior Honor Banquet
Being named a Senior Honor Man or Woman is one of the most prestigious honors a WSU student can receive. Since the program's inception in 1917, fewer than 1 percent of all Wichita State students have received this distinction.
Selection is based on a student's commitment to academic excellence, his or her involvement on campus and contribution to the community, academic standing, and oral and written communication skills. Six men and five women have been selected for this year's honor:
- Brandon Baltzell, 2011 graduate of Baldwin High School, Baldwin City, Kan.
- Jessica Bloomquist, 2011 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School, Topeka, Kan.
- Drew Bonner, 2011 graduate of Maize High School, Maize, Kan.
- Matthew Conklin, 2011 graduate of Winfield High School, Winfield, Kan.
- Emily Cook, 2010 graduate of Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, Wichita, Kan.
- Jessica Crumrine, 2011 graduate of Newton High School, Newton, Kan.
- Lynette Kithinji, 2010 graduate of Riara Springs Girls High School, Nairobi, Kenya
- Catherine Klunder, 2011 graduate of East High School, Wichita, Kan.
- Roy Moye III, 2010 graduate of Raytown South High School, Raytown, Mo.
- Isaac Roehm, 2011 graduate of Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson, Kan.
