* The Patent and Trademark Resource Center at WSU Libraries in conjunction with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will host a free webinar from 12:30-4 p.m. today (Thursday, May 21) about resources to help applicants secure free or reduced-fee legal representation and assistance with patent filings to protect their inventions. * WSU Foundation end of year fiscal schedule -- We want our donors to be recognized in the proper gift clubs, so be sure to deliver all gift deposits for this fiscal year ending Tuesday, June 30, to the WSU Foundation by noon Thursday, July 2.

* The Counseling and Testing Center is offering Mental Health First Aid courses to the WSU community to help individuals better identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses. The first session will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, May 22, in 228 Hubbard Hall. Light continental breakfast and an afternoon snack will be provided. * The university's shuttle bus system is on hiatus for the summer, but city buses will continue to make regular stops on campus during the summer.

* Earlier this month, the Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID), made up of a username and password, replaced the Federal Student Aid PIN. Students, parents and borrowers will use the new FSA ID to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites like http://www.FAFSA.gov, http://www.StudentLoans.gov and http://www.NSLDS.ed.gov. The FSA ID will be used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your Federal Student Aid documents.
