Barry Badgett to be featured at next Senior Wednesdays program

Barry Badgett, WSU associate professor of sculpture, will discuss the intuitive and unstructured origins of his ideas and how he analytically reforms them into a plausible object at the next Senior Wednesdays program at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Ulrich Museum. Refreshments will precede the program at 10 a.m.

Using examples from past and current work included in the 20th Faculty Biennial exhibition now on view in the Ulrich galleries, Badgett will discuss how imagery, relationships, processes and materials work together to turn vague and unformed beginnings into sculptures that are interdependent, conceivable objects.

The Ulrich hosts Senior Wednesdays the third Wednesday of each month, offering active seniors who are 55 years old and older an opportunity to become more involved in their community by meeting people with similar interests. Each session provides interesting and educational programming as well as light refreshments.
