* A search chair/committee training class will cover the benefit-eligible hiring process, including completion of the AA01 documentation, and the roles and responsibilities of the search chair, search committee members and hiring manager. It is a great learning tool for anyone who serves as a search chair, or anyone wanting to learn more about the hiring process as a hiring manager, potential search chair member or administrative support. Training sessions start today (Monday, June 15). To register, select myTraining under the Faculty/Staff tab in myWSU.
* WSU faculty and staff are encouraged to submit a proposal for a presentation or workshop to the Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism by today (Monday, June 15). * Wichita State's Instructional Design and Technology department is launching Tiny Desk Training for Blackboard. The program features face-to-face trainings, including Basics plus advanced tools such as Brainshark, Panopto, Discussions, Photoshop, Twitter, Collaborate and more. * The Red Cross and Klose Scholars have teamed up to host a blood drive this summer on campus from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, in 142 RSC. To make an appointment, go to http://www.redcrossblood.org/give/drive/driveSearch.jsp and enter 67226 as the zip code. From there you will search for the date of the blood drive.
