* A search chair/committee training class will cover the benefit-eligible hiring process, including completion of the AA01 documentation, and the roles and responsibilities of the search chair, search committee members and hiring manager. It is a great learning tool for anyone who serves as a search chair, or anyone wanting to learn more about the hiring process as a hiring manager, potential search chair member or administrative support. Training sessions start on Monday, June 15. To register, select myTraining under the Faculty/Staff tab in myWSU.

* WSU faculty and staff are encouraged to submit a proposal for a presentation or workshop to the Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism by Monday, June 15. Named after WSU's own Michael Tilford, the conference will be held Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 19-20, at Pittsburg State University. It provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators of Kansas Board of Regents institutions to share ideas and resources for building culturally competent campus communities. * The Red Cross and Klose Scholars have teamed up to host a blood drive this summer on campus from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, in 142 RSC. To make an appointment, go to http://www.redcrossblood.org/give/drive/driveSearch.jsp and enter 67226 as the zip code. From there you will search for the date of the blood drive.
