* Bring your dad to Lake Afton Public Observatory for an out-of-this-world time looking at the Moon, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn through a big telescope and hear what the weather is like on them. Dad (or granddad) will get in free for the program, Planetary Weather, when accompanied by a paying child. Planetary Weather will be presented from 9-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 19-20. To access the Microsoft IT Academy, log in to myWSU, select the home tab and locate the link for Microsoft IT Academy at WSU. There are directions for creating a Microsoft account, getting the necessary access codes and the link to the Microsoft IT Academy. * Wu Crew volunteers are needed to help support the Lord's Diner Wu Crew on the third Friday of the month. WSU Wu Crew has three teams that volunteer on rotating Fridays at the Lord's Diner. The Wu Crew is Shocker students, faculty and staff serving the Wichita community through Wu Crew group projects and personal volunteer projects. * The Wichita Crime Commission and Crime Stoppers are roasting Mike Kennedy, the voice of the Shockers. Doors open at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at the DoubleTree Airport Hilton, and dinner will be served at 7 p.m., followed by the roast.
