* Local singer and songwriter Nikki Moddelmog takes the stage with Shane Marler and Dennis Hardin performing soulful melodies and their unique blend of jazz-infused folk songs in the Art For Your Ears summer concert series at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Ulrich Museum of Art on the McKnight Art Center Plaza (west of the Ulrich Museum). Admission is free. The rain location is the CAC Theater. The museum galleries will open at 6:30 p.m., performances begin at 7 p.m., and light refreshments will be provided.
* Reconstruction of the 17th Street sanitary sewer near the Wichita State campus will begin in early July with a projected completion in the fall. During the majority of construction, traffic on 17th Street will be limited to one lane in each direction between Yale Avenue and Bluff Street. * The Office of Admissions will now host campus visits every day of the workweek. Beginning Wednesday, July 8, prospective visitors can sign up to attend a newly-offered time of 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Admissions will offer an informative presentation on Wichita State and a full campus tour. Visitors may sign up for a campus visit by visiting http://www.wichita.edu/campusvisit.
