* Local singer and songwriter Nikki Moddelmog takes the stage with Shane Marler and Dennis Hardin performing soulful melodies and their unique blend of jazz-infused folk songs in the Art For Your Ears summer concert series at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, July 9) at the Ulrich Museum of Art on the McKnight Art Center Plaza (west of the Ulrich Museum). Admission is free. The rain location is the CAC Theater. The museum galleries will open at 6:30 p.m., performances begin at 7 p.m., and light refreshments will be provided.

* Checks from the WSU Foundation for the week of July 13 will be released on Monday, July 20.

* After a two month hiatus, the Office of Human Resources will present this summer's Wage & Hour Training class from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in 266 RSC. This class is designed for supervisors and is highly beneficial for timekeepers, but anyone is encouraged to attend. If you approve or input timesheets, knowing the laws and policies is imperative. Learn about the law, WSU policies and some best practices. The class is informal, relaxed and fun.

* Microsoft IT Academy is available and free to faculty, staff and students. Go to http://wichita.edu/itacademy for information. To access the Microsoft IT Academy, log in to myWSU, select the home tab and locate the link for Microsoft IT Academy at WSU. There are directions for creating a Microsoft account, getting the necessary access codes and the link to the Microsoft IT Academy. * If you are looking for student help for on-campus regular or on-campus work-study positions, register for the Career Development Center's On-Campus Job Fair from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, July 30, on the second floor of the RSC.
