* Local singer and songwriter Nikki Moddelmog takes the stage with Shane Marler and Dennis Hardin performing soulful melodies and their unique blend of jazz-infused folk songs in the Art For Your Ears summer concert series at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Ulrich Museum of Art on the McKnight Art Center Plaza (west of the Ulrich Museum). Admission is free. The rain location is the CAC Theater. The museum galleries will open at 6:30 p.m., performances begin at 7 p.m., and light refreshments will be provided.
* The Office of Research will hold a workshop, "Contracts & Agreements: Getting to a 'Win-Win' Agreement," at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, in 405 Jardine Hall. Topics include contract negation, do's and don'ts, timelines and subcontracting. All faculty and staff conducting research are encouraged to attend. Register through the Training Module on myWSU. * During the majority of reconstruction work of the 17th Street sanitary sewer near the Wichita State campus, traffic on 17th Street will be limited to one lane in each direction between Yale Avenue and Bluff Street. * The Ulrich Museum of Art is featuring a selection of puppets and masks created by Wayne White during his time as Wichita Riverfest's first Harvester Arts artist-in-residence. The puppets are on view in the Ulrich Underground through Sunday, July 12.
