Reminders
* During July, members of the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes EAT.DRINK.PLAY rewards program can enjoy double rewards discounts every Friday. If you are not a member, signing up is simple and free. Visit our customer service or sports grill counter for more information or to sign up.
* Registration is open for the Shocker Resource Fair. This event provides students the opportunity to learn more about your services and impact on our WSU campus. If you are interested in having an information table at the Shocker Resource Fair from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, in the RSC east courtyard, register at http://www.wichita.edu/ResourceFair. For more information about the event, contact Kristen Yacenda in Student Involvement at 978-3022 or kayacenda@wichita.edu by Wednesday, Aug. 12.
* Each year, the Office of Admissions produces and distributes the university visitor guide. This full-color, 24-page magazine highlights WSU academics, athletics, campus attractions and student resources. Free quantities of visitor guides are available for departments to distribute to prospective students, future employees, community members and attendees of university-hosted conferences. To make arrangements for the visitor guides, contact Stacy Grove via stacy.grove@wichita.edu or call 978-6293.
* Emmy award-winning costume designer and artist, Wayne White, created larger-than-life puppets for the Riverfest Sundown Parade as the first Riverfest artist-in-residence. Don't miss White's ax-wielding Carrie Nation, Bottle, and a stampede of cattle on view in the Ulrich Underground gallery now through Sunday, July 12.
* There are new faculty professional development training offerings available for July and August. The Tiny Desk Series of faculty trainings is expanding to include "The Flying Desk" and "The Rolling Desk." Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3851 for more information.
