* The University Bookstore will soon sell product from local popcorn store Popcorner, located in Andover. Help the bookstore decide which flavors to carry by stopping by from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 15) to taste test different flavors and vote for your favorite. You can try them all from cheddar to peanut butter crisp to fruitti fresh.
* After a two month hiatus, the Office of Human Resources will present this summer's Wage & Hour Training class from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in 266 RSC. This class is designed for supervisors and is highly beneficial for timekeepers, but anyone is encouraged to attend. If you approve or input timesheets, knowing the laws and policies is imperative. Learn about the law, WSU policies and some best practices.
* All untenured faculty are invited to join the next Pre-Tenure Club meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in 326 Clinton Hall. We will discuss early career issues. Questions or RSVP to gergana.markova@wichita.edu.
* Revised and condensed Intellectual Property Disclosure Forms are now available on the WSU Ventures website. This is the first step in the development and commercialization of your inventive work. These forms are essential to evaluate the commercial potential of your disclosure, and the path of legal protection that is possible or desirable. * Student Involvement will host the third annual Back-to-School Bash from 6:30-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in the RSC courtyard. There will be inflatables, midway games, food, a picture booth and more. It would be greatly appreciated if you would sponsor an inflatable or midway game or cover the cost of a food item.
