* A Celebration of Life in memory of Richard (Dick) Welsbacher will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, in Wilner Auditorium, followed by a luncheon at Mosley Street Melodrama, 234 N. Mosley Street, at 1 p.m. Welsbacher, professor emeritus and director of theatre at Wichita State for 30 years, died Tuesday, July 14.

* Because of the recent Supreme Court ruling, the Kansas State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) is now allowing same-sex marriage partners and eligible children to be added to employee's health insurance. All requests, due to this change, will be effective Saturday, Aug. 1. For marriages that occur in the future, coverage for dependents will continue to be effective the first of the following month.

Read & Write is a multifaceted program designed to help people with literacy skills, organizing study materials, converting text into audio formats and more.
