* The 2015-16 parking plan has been finalized. Major changes to the plan include shortened enforcement hours in student lots and the relocation of the Shocker Hall parking lot to the main campus. * The International Student Union will organize a welcome table at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport from Tuesday, Aug. 4-Sunday, Aug. 16, to welcome the new international students for the 2015 fall semester at Wichita State. * WSU Housing and Residence Life is seeking volunteers to help with move-in from 8 a.m.-noon Friday, Aug. 14, and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. Volunteers will be provided with a T-shirt to wear while supplies last. Groups and individuals will need to check in upon arrival. Location of check-in will be communicated closer to the date. * Learn to work smarter, not harder and enroll in LASI 170 Introduction to Library Research. This one-credit class is offered both eight-week sessions. This class will save you time and energy teaching you effective ways to write a research paper.
* During the majority of reconstruction work of the 17th Street sanitary sewer near the Wichita State campus, traffic on 17th Street will be limited to one lane in each direction between Yale Avenue and Bluff Street. * The Kansas City Royals have announced the return of Wichita State Night for the 2015 season. Join your fellow Shocker fans for an evening of big league action to watch the Royals take on the Chicago White Sox. The Royals are offering a special Shocker/Royal hat to the first 2,000 fans who present a Wichita State Night ticket that can only be purchased at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3852. Please arrive early to receive a cap. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., and caps are only available at Gate B.
