Reminders

* Save the date for an upcoming event to share information and ideas related to big data. The College of Engineering together with Ennovar will host an event to share information and ideas on the subject of big data at WSU from 2-3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 261 RSC.

* Join KMUW staff and listeners Friday evening, July 31, for our 8th Annual Fill Your Mug listener appreciation event. The festivities run from 5-8 p.m. at the Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island. Bring your KMUW mug and Cero's will dish up handmade ice cream and sorbet. No mug? Some of our classics will be available for purchase at the event, or we'll provide a cup. Live entertainment will be provided by Back Porch Buddha from 5-6:30 p.m., and Nikki Moddelmog from 6:30-8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

* The Fall Institute for Student Learning Assessment at Kansas State University will be held Nov. 12-13. A call for proposal for those interested in presenting is due Tuesday, Sept. 8, and can be found at the institute website at

* The International Student Union needs vendors and volunteers for the international food festival. The Fall 2015 InterFest will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
