This summer, seven WSU elementary education majors were hired as teaching assistants/paraeducators and three elementary education majors worked as America Reads Tutors at the STEM Summer Academy at Mueller Aerospace and Engineering Discovery Magnet. Each student earned academic credit and a paycheck, all while teaching more than 250 elementary school students about science, technology, engineering and math.
