Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* On Monday, Aug. 31, Lois Tatro will present WSU Finance 101. If you have questions regarding the finance process you would like Tatro to cover, send them to training@wichita.edu by Wednesday, Aug. 26. To view session details and register, go to myWSU, EmpHelp (orange cube underneath the weather) and myTraining. Call 978-5800 for help.

* The first meeting of the Unclassified Professional Senate for the 2015-16 academic year will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Note that the meeting room has changed to 142 RSC. The agenda is on the UP Senate website at http://www.wichita.edu/upsenate

* During the week of Aug. 17, the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid and Accounts Receivable will offer extended hours from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Assistance is also available for students through the WSU OneStop from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays in 122 Jabara Hall, or by calling 855-WSU-1STP.

* WSU travelers will soon notice a couple of new emails in their inbox. Travelers will now receive notification emails when their travel documents are "returned for correction" and when they are "final approved." No additional action is required -- the emails are strictly a courtesy to keep travelers informed about the status of their travel document. Call 3070 or email wsutraveloffice@wichita.edu with questions.

* Stop by the RSC's Fastbreak Lounge from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Monday, Aug. 17) to hear live music from Sterling Gray. Come by again from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, for live music from Vineyard. Grab your favorite Starbucks drink and relax to some tunes.

* This fall, Student Engagement will begin distributing a weekly newsletter for faculty and staff. Sign up today to keep up on the latest information and event happenings in all of the Student Engagement departments. You can also find a complete listing of events at wichita.edu/SECalendar. * The At-Work Weight Watchers group invites you to an open house at noon Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the Heskett Center.
