TRIO Disability Support Services is taking applications for peer mentors interested in working with students with disabilities. We're looking for well-connected sophomores, juniors and seniors who are academic achievers with Shocker Spirit. The application deadline is Friday, Aug. 28.

Mentor requirements
- One year commitment
- Minimum of 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher
- Completion of one year at Wichita State University (transferring students, completion of one semester)
- Must be in good standing with the university, as it relates to student conduct mentor

Responsibilities and expectations:
- Attend mandatory weekly study group with mentee
- Attend two study skills workshops per semester with mentee
- Attend various on-campus events with mentee
