Get the 2015 holiday travel forecast from airline quality expert

Wichita State University's Dean Headley, co-author of the national Airline Quality Rating, will highlight the best and worst overall performance of airlines during the 2014 holiday season in a news conference at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. He'll also share the best and worst performing airlines in the areas of mishandled bags and on-time performance during the holiday season.

Local media are invited to attend the news conference in the Media Resources Center at WSU.

Headley says that given the stress of travel and the airlines' efforts to fill seats, manners and consideration for others' shared space needs to be part of every traveler's holiday spirit.

Being self-reliant, informed and prepared is the best protection against the hassles of air travel, Headley says.
