The Department of History welcomes Kim Hogeland, acquisitions editor at the University Press of Kansas, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in 233 RSC. She will talk about how publishing works, what publishers look for in a manuscript, and how and when to approach a publisher with your project. Students, faculty and staff interested in learning about the publishing world and how to make the transition from research to published product are invited to attend.
