* Celebrate Hispanic Independence Day with Hispanic American Leadership Organization, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and several Hispanic organizations from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 16) on the RSC north patio. Learn about the different countries that celebrate their independence in September. Enjoy history, music, food and much more. Cost may apply to some booths, cash only.

* What better way to celebrate hump day than with actual real-life camels. Stop by the RSC east courtyard from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 16) and you will be given an opportunity to ride one of the most majestic animals on Earth. There will also be other furry animals to pet if riding a camel is not your thing.

* Erbert and Gerbert's in the RSC is hosting a Bistro Bash today (Wednesday, Sept. 16) to Friday, Sept. 18, with a special offer each day. Today's special is free chips with sandwich purchase. On Thursday, Sept. 17, get a free cookie with sandwich purchase.

* Come to the Ulrich Museum from 4-7 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 16) for 2 Tons Under, an annual steamroller event hosted by Tornado Alley Press and the Ulrich Museum of Art. Printmakers from three different universities along with local high schools will hand carve 4-by-8 wood blocks that will be steamroller-printed live outside of the Ulrich Museum. See the steamroller in action while enjoying food and live music, and buy a T-shirt fresh off of the screen printing rack.

* Faculty artist Geoffrey Deibel, professor of saxophone, will appear as soloist with the WSU Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in WSU's Miller Concert Hall. Free admission for students with WSU ID. http://www.wichita.edu/thisis/wsunews/news/?nid=2955

* A mural at the RSC east entrance will be on display from Thursday, Sept. 17-Wednesday, Sept. 23. Break the Cycle of Violence! is a call for us to acknowledge and respond to the ways that racism persists at all levels of society. The mural was created by members of ICT Army of Artists, a Wichita-based art collective that uses public art to foster social change.

* If you want to keep the human race alive or infest the WSU campus with zombies, register at http://www.hvzsource.com/wsushockers15. Student Activities will host an informational meeting at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 16) in 261 RSC. * "The Employee Factor" will be presented by Gaylen Chandler from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in Devlin Hall. * Daniel James, one of the busiest Comic Hypnotists in the Entertainment Industry, will present a show at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in the CAC Theater.
