* Wichita State faculty and staff are invited to attend a retirement celebration for Elizabeth Smith from 3-5 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 24) in the NIAR first floor lobby. Join us in recognizing Smith for 22 years of dedicated service to the university.

* Central Services and OfficeMax invite you to attend an office supply vendor fair from 9-11 a.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 24) in 233 RSC. Vendors will show new products and give away samples and prizes to participants. This will be a good time to get your calendar catalogs for the new year.

* In memory of Art Rohn, a celebration of life will be held from 4-6 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 24) in 117 Neff Hall. Everyone is welcome. Rohn, 86, former chair of anthropology at WSU, passed away from a brief battle with Leukemia at his home in Tucson, Arizona on Aug. 8.

* Young Shocker Professionals is a group for the young or young at heart. Our purpose is to unite faculty and staff from across campus, make connections and have fun. There is no fee to join and no commitment. Just email ysp@wichita.edu to be added to the mailing list and start receiving news about all of the great things we are doing together.
