Reminders, deadlines and events

* Join the Office of International Education and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion for the next Religious Brown Bag Series -- Christianity -- from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 29) in 265 RSC. This series will explore a variety of religions and philosophies such as Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and more. The goal is to educate, create discussion and dispel stereotypes about religions around the world.

* The Institutional Review Board (IRB) has updated many of the applications and templates on its website. Visit the IRB Documents and Forms page before your next submission to be sure you are using the most up-to-date forms. The IRB administrator will hold come-and-go open labs this fall for faculty, staff and students who have questions about the new forms or about their study in general in 405 Jardine Hall from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15; and 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4.

* WSU is a federally-funded organization that relies on grant monies for some programs. In order to ensure the continued funding, it is critical we accurately report the number of veterans and individuals with disabilities that we employ. * You are invited to participate in the third biannual Wu's Big Event at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. Wichita State's campus-wide volunteer initiative has a goal of getting students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university involved in a day of service. * Becky Hundley, WSU Ventures manager of intellectual property (IP) and contracts, will hold an open lab for IP disclosure forms from 2-4 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month in the Innovation Hub on the second floor of Devlin Hall. The first open lab will be held Tuesday, Oct. 6. Come with your questions and get help filing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more.
