* CB Graduation Announcements/Balfour will be in the University Bookstore from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 30) to take orders for class rings and announcements for Fall 2015 Commencement.
* Want to see a greener campus? Curious about what other universities are doing to be more sustainable? Come to the fall semester organizational meeting for the WSU GreenGroup at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 30) in the Geology Library in 115 Geology Building, first floor near lecture room 101.
* WSU's College of Education will host three ED Talks for the 2015-16 academic year. The first one is at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Marcus Welcome Center, featuring guest speaker Randy Watson. Watson will present data gathered on skills, characteristics and traits of a 24-year-old in Kansas.
* From the Hollywood stage of America's Got Talent and out of the pages of People Magazine, Charles Peachock brings his one of a kind juggling act to the Wichita State campus. This high energy interactive event is intended for audiences of all ages and takes place at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, in the CAC Theater. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
* Bring your families out for a fun-filled weekend at WSU's Family Weekend, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 2-4. A variety of activities and events have been planned to introduce guests to student life at WSU and to help them become more familiar with the university. * Doctorate and specialist students who are graduating in the Fall 2015 Commencement need to contact Julie at the University Bookstore for regalia. Call 978-7021, email bookstore@wichita.edu or come by the bookstore between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday to find out about your options. The deadline for purchase orders is 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, and the deadline for rental orders is 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. Payment is due at the time you place your order. Orders placed after the deadline will incur additional shipping and handling charges.
* Create the official Shocker Sandwich from Erbert and Gerbert's Bistro in the RSC and receive $150 in Shocker Dollars. Submissions for sandwich recipes will be accepted through Monday, Oct. 19. * Interested in Alternative Spring Break? This year, Wichita State students will have a chance to serve in the Big Apple and work with hunger relief. To learn more about this opportunity, please attend the informational meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in 261 RSC. Details about the trip, logistics, travel, cost and application process will be addressed.
