Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* At 9 a.m. today (Friday, Oct. 2) the annual ceremony of remembrance will be held at WSU's Memorial '70, located on Alumni Drive near 18th and Hillside. The ceremony will honor the 31 WSU football players, administrators and supporters who died in a 1970 plane crash in the Rocky Mountains.

* Wichita State's volleyball team will host Missouri State at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 2) in Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).

* From the Hollywood stage of America's Got Talent and out of the pages of People Magazine, Charles Peachock brings his one of a kind juggling act to the Wichita State campus. This high energy interactive event is intended for audiences of all ages and takes place at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 2) in the CAC Theater. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

* KPTS-TV 8 will show "Black & Gold: Remembering the WSU Plane Crash," at 8 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 2).

* Bring your families out for a fun-filled weekend at WSU's Family Weekend, today (Friday, Oct. 2) to Sunday, Oct. 4. A variety of activities and events have been planned to introduce guests to student life at WSU and to help them become more familiar with the university. * WSU Associate Professor of History Will Klunder passed away Sept. 24, following a severe infection. Survivors include his wife, Kathy, and three daughters, Kristin, Catherine and Erica. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway.

* The WSU GreenGroup and Wichita community environmental groups invite you to Ecofest 2015, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 3) at First Unitarian Church, 7202 E. 21st St. This is a family-friendly celebration of innovations, activities and products designed to inspire and empower people to live green. Admission is $1; children under 12 years old get in free.

* The Office of International Education is selling international T-shirts in gold or grey for $13.99 plus tax. Purchase your shirt at http://www.wichita.edu/paybycard. It will be available for pick up at the Garvey International Center on 17th and Hillside. All proceeds from sales go to a scholarship fund for international students.
