Reminders

* Join Community Service Board and Kid President in collecting socks for those without shelter, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 1) on the first floor of the RSC. Purchase three pairs of socks for $1 to be donated. All socks donated through Socktoberfest will be donated to local homeless shelters. * A Thirsty Thursday: LGBT History Month event will be held from 11 a.m.-noon today (Thursday, Oct. 1) in 266 RSC. Learn about important people and times through an interactive workshop hosted by the Greater Wichita Chapter.

* WSU's College of Education will host three ED Talks for the 2015-16 academic year. The first one is at 5 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 1) at Marcus Welcome Center, featuring guest speaker Randy Watson. Watson will present data gathered on skills, characteristics and traits of a 24-year-old in Kansas.

* WSU Feminists invite you to hear Sein Lengeju, president of Keep Girls Safe, at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 1) in 231 Hubbard Hall. Lengeju will talk about increasing awareness and eradicating female genital mutilation in Kansas, as well as in Kenya.

* Registration is open for the Majors & Minors Fair, which will be held from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, in the RSC Beggs Ballroom. * WSU will work with AACRAO Consulting on a strategic enrollment management (SEM) plan over the course of this year. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend one of these workshops at 2:30-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in 208 Hubbard Hall, or 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the CAC Theater.
