* Correction: Student Support Services (SSS) is a federal TRIO program that provides free academic services to first-generation students (neither parent has received a four-year degree), and/or have limited income. Student Support Services helps these students persist toward graduation. * The Institutional Review Board (IRB) has updated many of the applications and templates on their website. The IRB Administrator will hold come-and-go Open Labs this fall for faculty, staff and students who have questions about the new forms or about their study in general. Upcoming labs are from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, and 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in 405 Jardine Hall.

* University Libraries will host two workshops next week -- "Intro to Digital Presentation," from 2-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in 217 Ablah Library, and "Using APA in EndNote," from noon-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, in 217 Ablah Library.
