* The Business Booster Series will present a one-day workshop "Develop a Winning SBIR/STTR Proposal," from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, in Devlin Hall. * Grading for fall 2015 first eight-week courses ending by Saturday, Oct. 10, must be entered by 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15. Faculty can access the Banner grading form via the Teach/Advise tab in the myWSU portal. A grading email with further details was sent to faculty and staff who are flagged as eligible instructors in Banner. Questions about grading can be directed to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.
* WSU President John Bardo will present the keynote address at the Center for International Business Advancement (CIBA)-World Trade Council (WTC) of Wichita Banquet. The banquet, which takes place 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Wichita Marriott, will also include presentations from Anand Desai, dean of the W. * Return your completed United Way pledge form with your WSU ID number to payroll at campus box 38.
* Open Enrollment: You have from now to Saturday, Oct. 31, to make changes to your 2016 health insurance plan. Human Resources will present the new plans for 2016 now through Friday, Oct. 23; the State of Kansas will also offer online webinars. All plans have changed, so plan to attend an informational meeting or webinar. All changes must be completed by Saturday, Oct. 31, and are effective Jan. 1, 2016. * The Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites faculty and staff to participate as an observer at this year's Distinguished Scholarship Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 21. The time commitment is from about 7:30 a.m.-noon. A light breakfast and short training session is included.
