* The WSU volleyball team will host Bradley at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 16) and Loyola at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, in Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* Catch postseason Royals baseball at the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes and register to win a prize pack that includes an official Kansas City Royals bowling ball, bag and souvenir bowling pin. Registrations will only be taken during games that air during normal hours of operation. The prize drawing will take place and the winner will be notified after the Royals' season ends.
* Shocker family members of all ages are sure to have an exciting time at the Fall Festival from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, on the south lawn of Corbin Hall. This event will feature a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, inflatables, fall-themed snacks and the annual WSU Trunk or Treat. Admission is free, but nominal ticket rates apply; cash and check only.
* Registration is open for the Majors & Minors Fair through today (Friday, Oct. 16) at http://www.wichita.edu/MMRegistration. The fair will be held from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, in the RSC Beggs Ballroom. Increase enrollment in your college and help exploring and undecided students find their dream program or complementary minor at Wichita State. * Hygiene Clinic and Student Health Services are sponsoring free dental screenings for faculty, staff and students. Take advantage of this opportunity at the following times and places:
1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in 142 RSC
1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, Garvey International Center
* A biometric screening, including lab work, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure and BMI is available year-round from 8-11 a.m. Mondays through Fridays for faculty and staff at Student Health Services in Ahlberg Hall. Remember to fast 10-12 hours prior to the appointment, except for water and medications. The cost is $25.
