* Wichita State will ring out the old year and bring in the new at its annual Shocker Madness basketball kickoff at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 22) in Charles Koch Arena. This free event will feature a special championship ring presentation in honor of the men's and women's 2014-15 Missouri Valley Conference titles.
* A new update for MacOS X - El Capitan (10.11) is available for Mac computers. There are some new features in this version that might conflict with some existing applications. If you are interested in upgrading to El Capitan, contact Help Desk at helpdesk@wichita.edu or 978-HELP (4357) to create a ticket. ITS Desktop Support staff will evaluate the compatibility of your existing programs with the El Capitan upgrade and if there are no issues, they will install it for you.
* Learn more about the assessment being conducted in Student Involvement in a symposium from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, in 265 RSC. During this session, the learning outcomes, assessment tools and methods will be further explored. Lunch will be provided. RSVP to jeanne.patton@wichita.edu by Wednesday, Nov. 25.
* The Office of Admissions is looking for table hosts for this year's Shocker Honor Scholars Banquet.
