In light of recent active shooter emergencies at other institutions, this message serves as a reminder that it is WSU's intent to be as proactive as possible against these unpredictable situations.

Has your office assessed the best way to respond to an intruder? Have you considered how to shelter in place or ensure survival if you cannot flee? Please take time to think about your surroundings and lay out your options, even as you travel to other buildings on campus.

More than 700 faculty, staff and students have completed the Campus Safety: Active Shooter Incident Planning classroom training.
