* Jason Richardson of Northeast Ohio Medical University, will present the next Chemistry Colloquium lecture at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 28) in 224 McKinley Hall. The talk is titled "Targeting Microglial Ion Channels in Neurodegeneration."
* The Department of History is sponsoring a talk by John Dichtl, president and CEO of the American Association for State and Local History, at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 28) in 218 Hubbard Hall. The talk is "Moving History from Nice to Necessary." Admission is free.
* Shocker Startup will host its first ConnectICT event at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 28) in 209 Hubbard Hall. Pizza will be provided. Everyone is welcome to attend a session of idea presentations in an environment designed to connect ideas with other people's skills. * The State of Kansas Financial System (SMART) will be unavailable for all finance processing because of an upgrade from Nov. 5-12. Because of this, vendor payments (including employee travel reimbursement requests) received by Purchasing after 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, cannot be processed for payment by the State of Kansas until Nov. 13.
