The Human Performance Studies Department will host the Kansas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (KAHPERD) Convention Thursday and Friday, Oct. 29-30, in the Heskett Center. More than 500 members are expected to participate in educational seminars and clinics, social events, and visit hospitality and vendor areas. KAHPERD has 1,500 members in the health, physical education, recreation and dance professions. Many are public school educators. The organization is the leading advocate in Kansas for promoting healthy and active lifestyles. This is the 95th anniversary of the organization. KAHPERD members seek to promote and advocate for healthy and active Kansans.
