'The Journey of an International Student to Wall Street'

The Bangladesh Student Association (BSA) welcomes Syed Raj Imteaz to the Wichita
State campus. Imteaz, director of Investment Banking at Barclays, will present "The Journey of an International Student to Wall Street," at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in 265 RSC. Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided. Imteaz will give a lecture discussing how to succeed in corporate America and ultimately go for your dream.

He attended Wichita State University from 2000-02 and transferred to the University of Texas at Austin, from where he graduated magna cum laude.

During his decade-long Wall Street career, Imteaz has led more than 100 transactions with total deal value exceeding $50 billion. Prior to joining Wall Street, he worked at the Immigration and Foreign Policy Department for former U.S. Senator Hillary
Rodham Clinton.

In his free time, Imteaz mentors students who want to join investment banking. For his contribution to the immigrant community, as well as his banking career, he was recently named one of the "50 Outstanding Asian-Americans in Business," by Asian American Business Development Center, Inc.
