* Join Student Activities Council from 7-11 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 30) on the third floor of the RSC for Laser Tag Pursuit. This popular event features a giant indoor battlefield and XM-22 high -tech taggers with a lightweight headband system. Games and activities will be provided in between rounds, so bring your friends, family or join a team on-site. Admission is free.
* Join Pi Delta Phi Epsilon Sigma chapter and Sigma Delta Pi for a Free Movie Night today (Friday, Oct. 30) in 245 RSC. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m. We are watching "Girl On A Bicycle," which promises a night full of language and goodies. There will also be a costume contest for those interested.
* WSU's School of Music and Performing Arts will present "The Light in the Piazza," at 7:30 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 30) and Saturday, Oct. 31, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, in Miller Concert Hall. Tickets are free for students with WSU ID. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4382 for more information.
* The Humans of Wichita group at Wichita State invites area kids to a Halloween party from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, in the Heskett Center gym.

* Help raise awareness for blindness. You're invited to attend the first Sight Walk Wichita at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7. Sign up with a partner or be assigned to one to help guide you through what it's like to be blind. Tickets are $15, and will include a T-shirt, entry into the event and the after-walk party catered by Olive Garden and hosted by our sponsor, Delta Gamma. All proceeds will benefit Heather's Camp, a four-day, one-of-a-kind camp for children who are blind or visually impaired.
* Graduate students who are interested in showcasing their innovative graduate research project are encouraged to submit a proposal between Nov. 2-16, for the Graduate Research and Scholarly Projects (GRASP) event. * Looking to develop skills as a student leader and get paid? The Office of First Year Programs is looking to hire new Transition Mentors to help welcome new students to Wichita State. * If your old elementary school books are sitting at home and you have a passion for helping children learn to read, support ChildStart. Community Service Board is hosting a Book Drive now to Wednesday, Nov. 11, to help ChildStart. Drop off new or gently used books at Student Involvement in 216 RSC, and the Cohen Honors College in Shocker Hall.
* If you are thinking of going to graduate school and need to take the GRE test, the Counseling and Testing Center (CTC) and the Graduate School are co-sponsoring a GRE Prep Workshop from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 7.
