* The Thirsty Thursday: Native American Story Telling program set for 11 a.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 5) has been canceled. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion apologizes for the inconvenience. Join us for the next Thirsty Thursday: Finals Kick Back from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
* Frances Shelly will not perform a faculty artist recital on Saturday, Nov. 7. The recital was mistakenly listed in the School of Music calendar.
* Student Activities Council is coordinating the fall 2015 edition of Finals Frenzy. These events are intended to help students relieve the stress of preparing for finals. If your organization is interested in hosting an event, program or activity, and want it included in the Finals Frenzy promotional campaign, complete the registration form at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4392 by 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9.
* The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold a webinar from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, about the R01 grant mechanism. R01s provide funding for health-related research and development, based on the mission of NIH. This webinar is designed to give participants useful insights into the application submission and peer-review processes of the Center for Scientific Review at NIH. * You still have time to earn your $480 HealthQuest discount for 2016. Qualifying is simple. Complete the required Health Assessment Questionnaire worth 10 points and earn an additional 20 points (for a total of 30 points) by Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015. Not sure how many points you have? * Faculty interested in pursuing a badge should download and complete a Badge Planning Form, which can be found online at http://www.wichita.edu/facultybadgeinfo. Submit the form to the Office for Workforce, Professional and Community Education by Friday, Dec. 11, to have your badge considered for fall 2016. * The next WSU Day at Kansas Leadership Center (KLC) will be offered from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the KLC. The day provides a general orientation to KLC ideas and their applicability to our settings at WSU, presented in a highly interactive style.
