Flutist Leone Buyse will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. Buyse will also present a master class for students from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., in C-104, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. Buyse is professor of flute at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music. In 1993 she relinquished her position with the Boston Symphony Orchestra to pursue a more active teaching and solo career after 22 years as an orchestral musician.
