* Matt Cecil, director of the Elliott School of Communication, and Charles Myers, director of the University Press of Kansas, are doing a talk about book publishing at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 10) in 233 RSC. They will talk about the process of publishing a book and answer questions.
* Neil L. Kelleher will present a technical lecture, "On the value of proteoform-resolved measurements in translational proteomics," at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 10) in 324 McKinley Hall. Kelleher is the Walter and Mary Elizabeth Glass Professor of Chemistry, Molecular Biosciences and Medicine at Northwestern University.
* Visit WSU South, 200 W. Greenway, Suite 15A in Derby, for an art exhibit featuring photography from around the world by Ted Ayres, WSU's director of Community Engagement and Opportunity, Vice President and General Counsel Emeritus, now to Friday, Nov. 20. Meet the artist and hear the stories behind the photography from 4-7 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 10) and 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. Admission is free.
* You still have time to earn your $480 HealthQuest discount for 2016. Qualifying is simple. * The Commencement Office is looking for individuals who are available to work fall commencement from about noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13. * Classroom management is the topic of a panel discussion from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in 265 RSC. The panel discussion will be moderated by Linda Bakken, member of the Academy for Effective Teaching steering committee.
* GoCreate, a Koch Collaborative, is hosting an Instagram contest with zero barriers and zero restrictions on creativity. Build something cool with the GoCreate logo kit, and share a photo or video on Instagram using #GoCreateWSU. Logo kits are available in the lobby of the National Institute for Aviation Research. The contest closes Thursday, Dec. 31, and the winner will be announced Friday, Jan. 8. Entries will be judged on originality.
