* The Rhatigan Student Center is honoring veterans and active-duty military today (Wednesday, Nov. 11) on Veterans Day. With a current military ID, veterans and active-duty military can enjoy 20 percent off one regular priced WSU imprinted item at the University Bookstore. Also, from 6-10 p.m. in the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes, veterans and active-duty military and their families can enjoy free bowling and billiards. * The University Libraries is hosting a SAGE Research Methods Lunch & Learn for faculty and staff from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, on the lower level of Ablah Library. * Celebrate the start of the Shocker basketball season with Shocker Season Starter at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in the Shocker Hall courtyard. There you'll find face painting, tailgating, food, photo booth, games, prizes and music. It's free for students with a WSU ID -- and don't forget to bring your Shocker spirit.
