Faculty and staff, help us share several service opportunities for December graduates, as well as part-time students. We are looking for December graduates and other students who want to serve in VISTA positions starting February 2016 in Wichita, Lawrence and Salina. These positions require a one-year, full-time commitment. Students can take classes in the evenings and on the weekends while they participate.

Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is an AmeriCorps national service program that brings eager volunteers and community organizations together to build capacity, provide indirect service and create sustainable solutions in efforts to move people out of poverty.
There are opportunities to serve in positions such as volunteer coordinator, community outreach assistant and volunteer and fundraising coordinator in social service, education, women's organizations and behavioral health organizations, just to name a few. Each position has its own qualifications.
