* See for yourself how heavy military armor is, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 11) first floor, RSC, and RSC north patio. Learn more about our veterans and participate in fun activities. You also can write a message of thanks to our WSU veterans.

* Join the Multicultural Greek Council at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 11) on the RSC east patio for Walk Off Your Insecurities. Participants will walk to promote self-worth and self-esteem and support the Positive Pathways Program under Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

* The Entrepreneurship Fall 2015 Series will hold a forum, "The MakerSpace Revolution -- A Key to Building a Collaborative Culture in Kansas," from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in 107 Devlin Hall. Admission is free.

* Student Engagement is evaluating the semester's activities calendar and is interested in your thoughts and feedback. This survey will only two or three minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you can enter your name into a drawing for two Shocker prize packages, including a captain's chair, baseball hat, T-shirt, Shockolate bar and other items. The survey will close at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. Winners will be notified by Wednesday, Nov. 25. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4415 to take the survey.

* The Leadership Discovery Summit is a half-day workshop that gives students the chance to identify their leadership abilities and learn how to better apply their skills to help WSU and their communities. The next Leadership Discovery Summit will take place from 1-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in 233 RSC. To register, go to http://www.wichita.edu/discoverysummit.

* Student Involvement (SI) is looking for passionate students to serve as SI Ambassadors and to be a guide for current and potential students to get involved on campus. If you are interested in being one of 10 SI Ambassadors, complete the application by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16. Interviews will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19 and Monday, Nov. 23. * GoCreate, a Koch Collaborative, is hosting an Instagram contest with zero barriers and zero restrictions on creativity. Build something cool with the GoCreate logo kit, and share a photo or video on Instagram using #GoCreateWSU. Logo kits are available in the lobby of the National Institute for Aviation Research. The contest closes Thursday, Dec. 31, and the winner will be announced Friday, Jan. 8. Entries will be judged on originality.

* The results are in and the finalists have been chosen for Erbert and Gerbert's Shocker Sandwich competition. View the top three sandwiches and vote now to Thursday, Nov. 19, for your favorite at http://www.egbistro.com/wichitastate. The winning sandwich will be the official Shocker Sandwich of Erbert and Gerbert's.

* Join the ladies of Alpha Phi for a lovely evening at the Red Dress Gala at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in the RSC's Shirley Beggs Ballroom. All proceeds will go to the Alpha Phi Foundation to support cardiac disease awareness and research, primarily in women. Tickets are $20 and must be purchased prior to the event; they will not be sold at the door. Purchase your ticket from any Alpha Phi or contact Marie Brewer at msbrewer@wichita.edu.

* Celebrate the start of the Shocker Basketball Season with Shocker Season Starter at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in the Shocker Hall courtyard. There you'll find face painting, tailgating, food, photo booth, games, prizes and music. It's all free for students with a WSU ID -- and don't forget to bring your Shocker spirit.
